How the hell did I find myself in this existence?
This system propped up by lies and prejudice.
Did anything they tell me growing up hold weight?
Makes me feel pretty helpless trying to salvage this.

Hey, I'm just like you and I know a few more that share your truth.
Simply by living and breathing and taking the scenes they became radicalized youth.

But what to do from here is not exactly clear.
We can put ourselves together and reclaim how to share
Instead of using all our differences to incite harm and fear.
This ones for the kids who grew up knowing they were queer -
Letting out a cry, a difference you can hear.
I want you to understand how they really feel
And sometimes it can stay deep down for many years.
How it ends is how we heal.
